VK2VCC is owned and operated by Martin VK2GIB
VK2VCC is a simplex combined IRLP / EchoLink Node located in the Maitland region of
NSW Australia.
Metford is 160km North of Sydney CBD at the end of the M1 motorway or similarly 37km West North West of Newcastle which is part of one of Australia's largest inland region growth areas.
Further West is the Coal fields of Singleton and Muswelbrook , some 1 hour drive.
The Dynamic range of our CW ID can be heard as far West as Orange , South West towards The blue Mountains , and to the North beyond Newcastle NSW along the East Coast Motorway to Brisbane.
We often connect to the 9103 East Coast Network, which stretches across Repeaters from South Australia to Brisbane in Queensland.
ACCESS to our Node
To access the node simply transmit on 147.400 MHz with a PL tone of 91.5 Hz.
IRLP Node 6789 has recently relocated to Maitland fromToukley on the Central Coast.
Prior to this it was active for some time in the township of Lara , Victoria.

Activate Node Test Message : Currently not active.
Accessing another IRLP Node -
To access an IRLP node anywhere in the world, simply transmit & enter the IRLP 4 digit node number. The node will then advise you of your dialing request.
For example - To access our node you would - PTT then DTMF 6789 for IRLP

Node numbers and Node information Worldwide can be found at the
IRLP Finder (APP) , PC, Android or iOs systems. "search IRLP FINDER" and "EchoLink Finder"
Access another EchoLink Node -
To access an EchoLink node, simply dial “ * “ followed by the EchoLink Node a ( 4, 5 or 6 digit DTMF code)
For example - the DTMF input for our echolink node would be PTT then
DTMF (star) * 8 2 1 2 4 6
There may be a slight pause while connection is made (be patient)
You will be advised the outcome of your call attempt and if its successful.
You can now transmit to the remote node / repeater.
Dont forget to End the call when done (see below).
Clear a current IRLP or EchoLink Connection -
To END A CALL/ LINK on an IRLP or EchoLink connection, simply
PTT then DTMF 73
You will be advised once the link has been cleared.
Checking current Node connections -
To check if the node is currently connected to another node or reflector,
PTT then DTMF (star) * 7 3
If the node is connected to another node or reflector, the node number will be announced on air. If you hear nothing, this means there are no current connections to the node.
*69 - DTMF code -
(star) * 6 9 will cause the node to announce the last 5 connections in and out of the node over the last 24 hours.
PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO send dtmf numeric tone "73" when FINISHED.
